These terms cover your use of Calculate My Return at calculatemyreturn.com (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

What the calculator is

The calculator is an educational illustration of compound growth. It applies one annual rate, on a timetable described on the home page, to a starting amount and regular contributions. It is not a forecast, a quote, or a statement of an account you hold.

Not advice

Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and nothing here creates an advisory relationship. We do not consider your circumstances. Past market averages, and any sample rate shown in the worked example, are not a promise of future performance. Decisions about saving and investing are yours. Where you need regulated advice, use an adviser authorised in your country.

Acceptable use

You may use the calculator for your own planning and share links to the public pages. You may not misuse the site, attempt to break it, scrape it so heavily that it stops working for others, or present the output as our recommendation of a particular product. You are responsible for checking figures before you act on them.

Intellectual property

The text, layout, and code of this site are owned by the operator unless a page says otherwise. The numbers you calculate are yours. You may download the CSV schedule for your own use. A short quotation with a link is fine. Copying the site into another product is not.

Advertising

We may show third-party ads, including Google AdSense, once the site is accepted into an ad programme. Ads are not endorsements of the advertiser, and an advertiser does not endorse the calculator's figures. Ad cookies are described in the privacy notice.

Disclaimer

The site is provided as available. We do not warrant that results are complete, error-free, or fit for a particular decision. Rounding, browser differences, and future changes to the formula can change a result by small amounts. External sites we link to, including Investor.gov, are outside our control.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost money, lost profits, or decisions made because of a figure on this site. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes

We may update the calculator, the explanation, or these terms. The date at the top of this page will change when the terms change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in the United Kingdom have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim somewhere else.
